Task launched for sustainable redevelopment Limburg Diepenbeek Campus

POM Limburg, UHasselt and university college UCLL are launching an assignment to make Limburg Diepenbeek Campus a climate-adaptive environment. The partners are launching the search for a designer who wants to tackle 4 hectares of publicly accessible space. More specifically, this involves a green-blue design and interventions to arm the environment against extreme weather conditions.

Limburg Diepenbeek Campus is changing. In the coming years, the site will undergo a major transformation. Nature on the campus will be restored and made accessible. Four zones on the campus will be climate-adaptively redesigned. The focus will be on softening, creating space for water and greenery as well as creating more experience for everyone visiting Limburg DC. The realisation of those projects tackles more than 4 hectares of publicly accessible space.

Climate adaptive
POM Limburg, UHasselt and UCLL University College are now launching a mission to make Limburg Diepenbeek Campus climate-adaptive. More specifically, this involves investing in a green-blue, multifunctional public space on campus and initiatives that engage the natural environment in response to extreme weather conditions. The partners are looking for one designer to elaborate and realise a contiguous and uniform design.
